More Sewing

I've had all the pieces cut out for this Christmas Quilt (lap quilt size) for quit some time now. Got it out and sewed it all together. Did need to do some ripping in the process and I've learned that these old eyes do not like working with black! Wish now I had cut the black strips about a half to 3/4 inch wider, but all in all I'm happy with it. Now the job of quilting it. Maybe I can get it finished by this year before Christmas.

Hubby decided to get out yesterday. Our oldest son and his wife were spending the weekend down a Seven Feathers, so we drove down for the afternoon and had dinner with them. Donated a few $$$ to the casino. Only allow myself so much money and always play the penny machines. $ last longer that way. Was not happy with the buffet. Was about the worst one we have been to and it cost a lot more too!!

While at the Casino found out our youngest son was on his way down for the evening. So kind of a family get together.

Was not looking forward to driving home (almost an hour drive) after dark and in the rain, it was raining buckets when we went down, but went to leave and it wasn't raining and there was very little traffic the whole way home. Be glad when hubby is able to drive again, sure don't like playing taxi driver.
